Product Overview

Aim MXP is the the evolution of Aim Dashes, with a 6" TFT color display with great visual impact. MXP offers 50% more display area than the 5‘‘ MXS display, in a similar dimension.
The dash logger has an integrated shift array, configurable multicolor alarms, drag and drop multi page configuration, Wi-Fi and USB connectivity, GPS Module, inertial platform, analog and digital inputs, digital outputs, Motorsport connectors, 4 GB of internal memory, 1,000Hz per channel sampling and support for over 1,000 ECU connections.

High Contrast TFT Display
Aim MXP features a high contrast TFT display: its visual quality is always optimal as its ambient light sensor keeps the back light at the best brightness levels.

Watch Your Data in Pre-Configured Pages
Aim MXP shows all the data you need, like speed, water temperature and oil pressure, lap times and much more. You can choose the custom pages you wish among a wide library of page styles, defining which data to be shown, their end of scale and measure units. Swapping between pages is quite easy using the push buttons.

Flexible Shift Lights and Alarms
The multi-colored RGB shift lights on the MXP can be customised to your liking to define the RPM threshold for each single gear. The same flexibility applies to the configurable RGB alarm LEDs. You can configure them in order to turn them on/off depending on analog or digital inputs, ECU values, expansion values, math channels or, optionally, GPS information. You choose conditions and colors and you can select a solid alarm or flashing one and the flashing frequency. It is also possible to configure an accompanying text message along with the alarm priorities.

Two Digital Outputs
The MXP features a LOW SIDE type (switch to ground) digital output configurable in order to be activated/deactivated depending on the value of the analog/digital inputs or on impulses coming from the ECU.

This permits to automatically run external systems, i.e. to switch on/off additional lights, to activate/de-activate a cooling fan or circulation pumps, etc. when a certain event happens.

Camera inputs, also for mirror camera
Two analog camera inputs are available,
to swap your display into a mirror camera,
through pushbutton command
or event management.

Wi-Fi connectivity
Makes it even more convenient
to configure, calibrate, and download your data
wirelessly, using a secure 802.11 WiFi
connection: no need to move your PC close
to the vehicle anymore, you can do it
from your van up to 50 meters away.

Wide range of data sources

Analog Digital Inputs
MXL2 has eight analog inputs, recorded up to 1000 times per second each. You can connect and monitor all kinds of sensors, like:

  • Ratiometric potentiometers
  • Pressure sensors
  • Thermo-resistances
  • K-type thermocouple and many others, all your custom sensors included.

Features six digital inputs
Four speed signals – It can receive the speed signal from the ECU, from the GPS and from the four wheel sensors.

  • RPM – can receive the RPM signal from the ECU or from a digital input connected to a square wave signal (8 to 50 V) or to a low voltage (from 150 to 400 V) of the coil.
  • Lap signal – Lap and split times are sampled by the GPS (included in the kit) or via optical receiver/transmitter.

GPS Module
The GPS08 Module (included in the kit) connected via CAN makes lap time calculation and track position analysis very easy. Each Aim memory stores more than 200 world tracks start/finish line coordinates. As soon the dash/logger is switched on, the GPS08 Module will locate its position, identify track-line coordinates and start immediately sampling lap and split time.

If the track is not included in the database, it is always possible to add the start/finish line coordinates to the Aim MXL2 via PC before going to the track, using the Race Studio 3 – Track Manager software.

Second CAN
An innovative feature is the CAN 2 line, managing data coming from your additional modules (i.e. ABS, traction control, infrared temperature sensors and more) This feature meets the requirements of a growing number of racers, as the use of additional modules is becoming quite common in a number of series.

Internal Accelerometer and Gyro
The internal three-axial accelerometer and the gyroscope provide a very powerful array of information. These force and motion sensors enable you to quantify the dynamic characteristics of your vehicle. Measuring acceleration forces and gyro rates can assist in determining how to improve your vehicle performances.

Math Channels
You immediately get Math Channels values. The dash logger can be configured to display those values (i.e. brake bias, calculated gear) in real time.
